Biography

Mo Suet Ng enjoys a versatile music career as an organ soloist, collaborative pianist, accompanist, educator, and composer. She was invited to perform in major venues in London and Hong Kong, not limited to Cambridge Clare College Chapel, Oxford Hertford College Chapel and LSO St Luke’s (London Symphony Orchestra Friday Lunchtime Concert).

She is currently the organist of Christian & Missionary Alliance Hebron Church and Diocesan Boys' School Chaplaincy / HKSKH St. Augustine's Chapel in Hong Kong and was the organist in St Agnes Church Kennington Park in London. She works intensively as a keyboardist  with contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, including Ubu Ensemble, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and Collegium Musicum Hong Kong. In 2023, Ng’s performance with Ubu Ensemble in Barbican, featuring works of Frank Zappa, has been broadcasted in BBC Radio 3.

She was the accompanist of HKBU Choir, HKBU Women’s Choir, Hong Kong Oratorio Society, Kwun Tong Children’s Choir, Yip's Children's Choral and Performing Arts Centre, Anglican Little Singers, SKH St. Mary's Church Mok Hing Yiu College Choir, University Baptist Church and Kentish Town Congregational Church. She has worked on major choral works, including Faure Requiem, Handel Messiah, and Vivaldi Gloria. In 2023, she performed the complete Handel’s Coronation anthems with Aeolian Singers in celebrating King Charles III's Coronation.

Ng is interested in collaborating with both instrumentalists and singers. In 2021, she formed KM21, a dynamic duo, and EnsemBouquet, a flexible ensemble that feature works for flute, piano and other instruments with Karen Wong, a flautist. The duo performed in various occasions including the Collaborative Piano Institute, and Robert Levin’s improvisation masterclass. Ng performed complete Schumann cycles, including Dichterliebe and Frauenliebe und Leben. She also participated in Schubert Die schöne Müllerin project, leading by Roderick Williams, a renowned British baritone.

Ng has been the recipients of multiple awards in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, Hong Kong (Asia) Piano Open Competition, Canadian International Music Competition, Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, Muse International Music Competition, Odin International Music Competition and London Young Musicians.

Passionate in teaching, she was a teaching and research assistant in music history in Hong Kong Baptist University. She is currently the piano instructor in International Christian Quality Music Secondary and Primary School.

In addition, Ng writes music during her leisure time. Her string quartet “Dance of Pear Blossoms” was premiered by Cong Quartet in Chinese University of Hong Kong Lee Hysan Concert Hall. In 2020, she was the champion of International Music Talent Competition in composing for solo instrument category.
